Good people who love animals. They took in a cat that needed a good home during hours where they dont normally bring in new animals. They were very kind and helpful. My friend had to surrender the cat because of his living situation, and they were super respectful of his situation and made him feel comfortable. My only hitch was the current SPCA site needs a lot of attention. It is in a temporary position as it waits for renos to be completed. Seems tight, disorganized, and messy. Hopefully the new building will be much nicer!
Though the trailer is small and a bit cramped the staff are dedicated and passionate about the animals. The animals are in good hands. Very impressed with how they manage.
They don't actully care and lie during adoption. Also when you follow up, they ignore you when its concerning the animal they sold you. I said sold you as they treat them like objects to get rid of. If you want a pet, look else where unless your willing to pay out of the as$. Im believing in backyard breeders more and more after dealing with these people.
I hope that hydro gets hooked up to their main building really soon, because they deserve to have more space and so do their pets. There's some very cute cats and kittens there That really need a loving home that have a wonderful temperament. I just recently adopted a kitten a week ago. And she's doing really, really well in my home with my other cat as her new best buddy. Please support this animal shelter. And adopt an animal today...
We just adopted a beautiful cat named Junior on Saturday. Everything was great. For the price you pay I can't believe what the Simcie SPCA do for the cat. Plus you get well over 100 worth of free food delivered right to you, they give you a bag of cat kibble and 4 cans of food to hold you over until your delivery comes with the rest of the food. A free large well made grocery bag to carry everything in thanks to Royal Canin who also provides the free food. Your pet is microchiped and spayed, tested, deformed, flea treatment and more for 1/2 the cost of taking a pet to the vet just for a spay or neuter. This place is fantastic due to the great caring people who work there and volunteer there or this would not be possible. ❤️
Had such an amazing experience with them! If I could give you more thank 5 I would. You are so caring and selfless! I appreciate everything you did for our kitty! Thank you thank you thank you!
If I could rate 0 stars I would. There is nothing animal friendly about this place, in agreement with other reviews, staff love to push you off the phone and make you "someone else's problem". I inquired about my rat that sneezes constantly that I adopted through them and was told "rats do that" after the 14 day return policy my rats started sneezing blood and I found out she has respitory issues. OSPCA wouldn't cover the cost of her treatment and had to pay over $200 for anti biotic. Would not recommend this place to anyone, staff are consistently rude and don't seem to care about helping you.
