I am not usually one to leave Google reviews but I feel this is a special circumstance. It will be long, but there is a purpose, I promise. The staff at this store are amazing. I made the mistake of going to another store in Simcoe to buy a betta fish and it was awful. I was given the wrong information about everything I needed to know about caring for this fish including the wrong equipment, care information, water/tank care etc. The staff at Paulmac's did not create any of the problems but were more than happy to help me solve them both in person and on the phone. They were kind and supportive and, most importantly, provided accurate information that helped me properly care for the fish. I understand that to some this is just a fish, but to my 10 year old it is so much more. For anyone wanting to buy a betta, I highly suggest getting all of the materials and tank, preparing the tank and testing the water BEFORE actually bringing the fish home. This is what I should have been told immediately but either someone needed to meet their sales numbers that day or they simply have no idea what they are doing. I am not sure what is worse. THANK YOU PAULMACS! Your help is appreciated more than you know.
It would b better if the stopped selling small hamster cages and updated their info about small animal care to the new recommendations on how to care for hamsters and small animals
My 13 year old dog passed away LillyBelle. May the sister to LillyBelle was depressed not eating or going to bathroom. I was scared she would pass too. By luck I called and they were able to squeeze May in for a grooming. They saved her life by their kindness and made her feel loved and did I mention beautiful. I am telling the truth that they gave my girls the best grooming . I really am grateful for them helping May ? through her grieving.
So much variety for your pet to be spoiled ! I'm going here from now on! I have a cane coral- st bernard mix and she needs tough toys ... I love that they had a large variety of Kong toys.
Always a great place, staff is awesome and remembers you and you pets food its great feels like family when shopping there and prices are great as well
We brought our dog Beau into Paulmac's today for his first grooming with Holly. I can't say enough great things about our experience at this store! Wonderful staff, excellent service and very reasonable prices.
Wonderful caring and pet loving staff. Even the younger staff are knowledgeable and always want to chat about your furry friends needs. Could use a little bit more selection in small animal toys.
