Twice now I’ve come to this location to buy my dog food and both times my husband and I have been immediately profiled and followed around the store/stared at by the staff. I’m from Hamilton but we’re staying in the area and the lack of customer service makes me want to drive out of my way back to Ancaster to shop. Incredibly unwelcoming atmosphere. We have a good relationship with both the Ancaster and Dundas locations and this one is seriously lacking. How do you expect to develop relationships with your customers when you treat them like criminals every time they walk through the door? We’ve been loyal Pet Valu customers since we adopted our dog and you can see how many $100 bags of dog food we’ve purchased in that time. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere.

The customer service is truly exceptional. I purchase our dog's food, treats and many of his toys here, and also frequently use the pet wash. The pet wash is always so clean and easy to use; the store is well laid out; the staff are always incredibly helpful and friendly. Everything we purchase is high quality. Great store!
I can't say enough about the customer service at this location. Always so helpful and very knowledgeable. They have even offered to carry out my items when I have my baby with me! They always engage with my children and always positive and welcoming!
I had an amazing experience at this store this morning. My youngest son and I ran in to grab 2 big bags of dog food for our pups. I was immediately greeted and asked how I could be helped. I let the employee know which brands we needed. She pointed me in the right direction and helped carry the bags to the front. After I paid, both employees immediately picked up the bags and were ready to bring it to our car!!! I couldn’t believe it. Normally I make two trips (at a local competitor). These wonderful ladies didn’t even ask, they just brought everything out and placed my items in my car. 5+ star for sure. And I will be shopping here from now on. I also noticed a great self-serve dog wash area, we will certainly be back to use this too!! Thanks so much.
They always have a great selection of items. Bird/parrot toys could be better, tho. Friendly staff, knowledgeable, clean store. Pet Valu is our go-to store for all of our fur & feathered babies!
The only place that I trust with pet food, treats, supplements and advice!!! They have never once steered me wrong and have helped keep our dogs and cats the healthiest they can be for year!!
